On Saturday 23rd September I am returning to my roots. I was born in Boston and its dykes, ditches and colourful characters were the inspiration for my memoirs, Tall Tales From a Flat Land.

I will be offering readings of short extracts from my latest book 'Trying Times for Sebastian Scattergood' followed by a conversation about the influences that led to me writing it. A recent review commented that the novel possesses 'a sliver of Rylands-Bolton humour and Boston cantankerousness.'
